West Indies to play three ODIs in Pakistan in June 2022
The PCB announced on Monday that Pakistan will play three one-day internationals against the West Indies at the Rawalpindi stadium on June 8, 10 and 12.
The ODI series will be part of the International Cricket Council’s Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League. In addition, the West Indies have committed to play a three-match 1201 series in 2023. The series’ schedule will be released at a later date.
The West Indies will arrive in Islamabad for the series on June 5th. In fact, the three-match series was part of the West Indies’ December tour of Pakistan. The West Indies camp was infected with the Covid-19 virus when they arrived, with three players and one member of the support crew testing positive.
The two sides were able to complete the three-match T201 series despite the Covid cases. The following ODI, however, had to be postponed until June after another five members of the West Indies camp were infected with the virus.
