Tom Curran has suffered a lower back stress injury, which was revealed in the latest scans of his back. He has been deemed to be out of any cricket action for a minimum of 3 months. He got knocked out of the complete season of BBL 2021 after he started complaining about his back. He is scheduled to be admitted to rehabilitation under the guidance of his team’s medical board. Due to his injury, Curran is facing a tough time in his cricketing career.

He has been left out of England’s squad for the series against West Indies in the shorter format and will also miss upcoming domestic matches. Adding to all this misery, he will not be able to recover in time for the upcoming County Championship. His team will miss his stellar all-rounder skills considering his huge potential with the willow. His footprint in cricket is a significant one. He has played in 20 T20I’s, 28 ODI’s and 2 Test matches for his country and has taken a total of 65 wickets considering all the formats.

He has travelled for runs on occasion, but his backhand slower deliveries have always been his strength, and he prefers to take the lead in death overs. It’s sad that his lower back issue appears to be limiting his overseas possibilities.
