In the third T20I of the series against Sri Lanka, Suryakumar Yadav had a brilliant performance, scoring an undefeated 112 off only 45 balls. With his third century in the format, Suryakumar surpassed KL Rahul to become the Indian with the second-highest century total in T20 Internationals.

It was an incredible knock from Suryakumar as he smashed 9 fours and 7 sixes, hitting the Sri Lankan bowlers around the park en route to his century.

The number one T20I hitter in India entered the game with India’s score at 52/2 and immediately assumed control. While Shubman Gill concentrated on rotating the strike, Suryakumar attacked the Sri Lankan bowling attack. In only 26 deliveries, he achieved his half-century, and the 31-year-old didn’t let Gill’s dismissal dissuade him from continuing.

In Rajkot, India had previously won the toss and chosen to bat. After losing the early wicket of Ishan Kishan in the first over, Rahul Tripathi adopted an aggressive batting style and smashed 35 off just 16 deliveries before Suryakumar Yadav put on a stunning display of power-hitting, ultimately leading India to a solid score of 228/5 in 20 overs.
