Sourav Ganguly, the president of the BCCI, has tested positive for Covid-19. On Monday, Ganguly was admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata and is now stable.

“On December 27, 2021 late evening, Sourav Ganguly, BCCI president and former Indian cricket captain, was admitted at Woodlands Multispeciality Hospital with Covid Positive status,” according to a press release issued by the hospital on Tuesday.

Sourav was given “monoclonal antibody cocktail therapy” at night and is now “hemodynamically” stable, according to the statement. Three doctors have been appointed to the hospital’s medical board. The board is keeping a careful eye on his health status in collaboration with “Dr Devi Shetty and Dr Aftab Khan,” according to the statement.

Meanwhile, after testing positive, top Trinamool leader and MP Derek O’Brien has isolated himself. “Covid has been found in my system. Symptoms are moderate. At home, I’m isolating myself. Please seek medical attention if you have had touch with me in the last three days and are experiencing symptoms “On Tuesday, O’Brien sent out a tweet.
