After winning the ODI series in Manchester by five wickets on Sunday, Team India’s 2022 tour to England came to a successful conclusion. Due to Rishabh Pant’s spectacular first ODI century and Hardik Pandya’s exceptional all-around performance, India ended their losing skid in Manchester. Sourav Ganguly, the president of the BCCI, evaluated India’s performance in England as part of the 2022 tour immediately after the important victory, and he included Virat Kohli in his widely circulated piece.

India’s visit in 2022 included the fifth Test from the 2021 series, which was postponed because of a Covid-19 pandemic in the Indian camp, as well as two limited-overs series. India’s tour was unluckily cut short by England’s triumph at Edgbaston, but the visitors bounced back in the age of white-ball cricket, beating the hosts 2-1 in both ODIs and T20Is.

The Indian team’s performance surprised Ganguly, who commended the group on Twitter and mentioned Kohli and Ravi Shastri—the team managers for the 2021 Test series.

He tweeted: “A fantastic performance in England. Not simple in their country. 2-2 testing. I’ll triumph in 20 and a day. Bravo to David, Rohit, Ravi, and Virat Kohli at Bcci. Pant is unique, and so is Pandu.”

India won the ODI series in England for the first time since 2014 and for the fourth time overall.

“really content. I came here to participate in group activities in the white ball. I remember we lost the last time we were here. Not a place where playing games is easy,” Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, made the following statement during the post-game presentation.
