Ross Taylor set to retire from international cricket
Ross Taylor, a cricketing giant from New Zealand has announced his retirement from international cricket. In January of next year, he will play his farewell Test series against Bangladesh, while his final limited-overs series will be against Australia and the Netherlands. Taylor announced his retirement on Twitter. The cricket legend further remarked that he is honoured to have represented his country at the international level for 17 years. He is recognized as one of New Zealand’s best batters and the Test and ODI cricket’s all-time leading run-scorer.

Ross said that he will focus on preparing for the upcoming summer in New Zealand. “All good things must come to an end and the timing seems to be correct for me. I want to show my gratitude to my family, friends, and everyone who has helped me to get to this stage. There will be a lot of time for many more thank-yous and self-reflections later in the season,” Ross Taylor said in a statement. “I am focusing all of my energy and concentration to prepare and perform for the team this summer.”
