As he approaches his 15th year of playing international cricket on Thursday, India skipper Rohit Sharma sent a touching message on social media. Rohit made his India debut on June 23, 2007, in Belfast during an ODI match against Ireland. A young Rohit, who was not allowed to bat in the game, later rose to prominence as one of the greatest limited-overs players ever, scoring more than 12,000 runs in ODIs and T20Is. The India skipper had the following to say about Rohit, who is anticipated to play for India in their four-day practice match against Leicestershire.

“Greetings to everybody. I will have played in 15 international cricket matches for India as of today. “What an adventure, one that I will undoubtedly treasure for the rest of my life,” As mentioned by Rohit in a tweet,

I simply want to express my gratitude to everyone who has been a part of this journey, especially to those who have helped me develop into the player I am today. Your love and support for the squad, cricket enthusiasts, admirers, and critics alike, is what helps us overcome the obstacles we all eventually face. ”

Rohit is one of India’s greatest hitters of all time with over 15,000 runs. His foreign career’s first phase, meanwhile, wasn’t as fruitful as the second. Rohit participated in India’s 2007 T20 World Cup campaign, but due to form and fitness issues, he was cut from the team and was unable to play in the 2011 World Cup. Before Rohit’s career took a new direction in 2013, his career graph showed a lot of unpredictability and an up-and-down pattern.
