The Afghan spin bowling superstar Rashid Khan will play for the Sussex team in the 2022 T20 Blast season. Khan has played for the Sussex team in 2018, 2019 and 2021. The 2022 version of T20 Blast will start on May 25, 2022, and the summit conflict is scheduled to be held on July 16, 2022. The 23-year-old Khan will miss the first few games of the T20 Blast because he will provide his services during the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Moreover, the head coach of the Sussex team, James Kirtley, is very happy that Rasheed Khan is back on the team. He said that the Afghan cricket player had a positive impact on the team last season and he also marked Khan as an outstanding figure and also added that Rashid also coached Archie Lenham last season.

“He is an outstanding person, and his positive effect on our environment was very obvious last summer. The immediate care and mentoring he showed to Archie was his true class. “Kirtley was quoted by ESPNCricinfo.

James Kirtley further said that Sussex was fortunate to have access to Rashid’s services. In addition to the Sussex side being able to establish a great relationship with the world’s best T20 spin bowler, Kirtley concludes that Rashid also adds value to the side with his dynamic batting skills. “He’s the best in business and we’re really lucky to have him. Don’t forget the dynamic batting we witnessed against Yorkshire in last year’s quarterfinals with the world’s best T20 spinners and years. I’m happy to know that we’ve built a relationship with him”, James Kirtley concludes.
