The 2022 T20 World Cup has already started, with four matches taking place, but the highlight of the event will undoubtedly be Team India vs. Pakistan on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The two clubs will play one another three times in 2022. However, it seems that the teams were keeping a close watch on each other on Monday, making arrangements for October 23.

The T20 World Cup preliminaries match between India and Pakistan is taking place at the Gabba. In the daytime event, India played Australia, winning by six runs. In the evening match, Pakistan played England, losing by six wickets in the rain-delayed contest.

Shaheen Afridi and Pakistan captain Babar Azam were seen conversing while watching India’s game against Australia at the Gabba stadium during the match. Other Pakistani players were seen viewing the game inside the arena through the camera.

The players from Team India chose to remain and watch Pakistan play against England after the match against Australia ended. Ravichandran Ashwin was the only player to remain back till the finish of the game while the rest of the squad was seen in the stands.

On October 19 at the same location, the T20 World Cup’s last round of exhibition games will take place. The day game features Pakistan taking against Afghanistan, while India faces the 2021 T20 World Cup runner-up, New Zealand.

Later, on October 22 and onwards at the SCG, the Super 12 portion of the championship will get underway with Australia vs New Zealand serving as the first match.
