Paytm, the longtime title sponsor for domestic international cricket matches for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), is pulling out of the agreement and will be replaced by Mastercard. The rights belonged to Paytm until the end of 2023. The three parties’ agreement is comparable to how Byju’s acquired Oppo’s BCCI jersey rights.

MasterCard will join on the same conditions, according to a BCCI official. Paytm has been spending 3.8 crores each match out of a total of 326.8 crores for the four-year cycle beginning in October 2019.

The meeting also covered Byju’s, the BCCI jersey sponsor whose contract was recently extended until the ODI World Cup, and their outstanding debt of 86.21 crores.
