Mohammad Rizwan, the keeper-batter, had to deal with a difficult circumstance just two days before Pakistan’s T20 World Cup semifinal match against Australia. He has now opened up about the entire situation in full, stating about the hardships he has endured as a result of his health. He also mentioned that he was determined to perform for the team, which contributed to his quick recovery. According to reports, he was taken to the hospital on November 9 at 12:30 a.m. after complaining of severe chest pain. He was also having trouble breathing and had a fever, a persistent cough, and a few other symptoms for the past three days. Rizwan was interviewed ahead of Pakistan’s important semi-final encounter against Australia.

Rizwan was transferred to the ICU 35 hours before Pakistan’s vital semi-final match against Australia. This did not, however, prevent him from displaying his flair on the ground. He participated in the semi-final game and had an amazing innings of 67 runs off 52 balls, including three fours and four sixes.

“I wasn’t feeling well, so I went to the hospital, while my family stayed at the hotel. I told them I was going downstairs for an ECG at the hotel, but I couldn’t breathe when we arrived at the hospital. Two of my tubes were also halted, according to the doctors. They weren’t telling me everything that was going on. Then I inquired with a nurse, who informed me that if I had been 20 minutes late, two of my tubes would have been ripped. They used to come in and perform various tests”.

“I recall the doctor saying that he wanted me to play for Pakistan in the semi-final. But when he told me that your health isn’t terrific, I was shocked. I assured him that I wouldn’t be sad if something bad happened to me after the match because everything is for Pakistan. This boosted them as well, and they subsequently went out of their way to help me recover swiftly despite the pain,” Mohammad Rizwan stated in a press conference.

The keeper batter has been on a roll with the willow recently. In a calendar year, he became the first player to achieve 1000 T20I runs. Further, he acknowledged Richard Pybus for assisting him in dealing with certain mental components of T20. He also stated that the coaches were important in his accomplishment.
