Krunal Pandya, an Indian all-rounder, has joined Warwickshire County Cricket Club for the 2018 Royal London Cup season. Krunal has played for Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League and has represented India in 19 T20Is and five ODIs. He has also appeared in 76 List A games, hitting 2,231 runs at a strike rate of 37 and capturing 89 wickets. He scored the quickest half-century (26 balls) by a rookie in his first ODI against England.

“I’m incredibly happy to receive the chance to play county cricket and to join such a historic club as Warwickshire,” Pandya said of the signing.

“I can’t wait to call Edgbaston my home since it’s a great venue to play cricket.” I aim to contribute to the club’s successful 50-over season and am looking forward to meeting my teammates. I’d want to thank both Warwickshire County Cricket Club and the BCCI for this opportunity. ”

“Krunal is a wonderful addition to the club, and I’m happy to welcome him to Edgbaston,” Warwickshire director of cricket Paul Farbrace said. Krunal will add a plethora of international experience to a squad hungry for success. We will lose players to The Hundred as a result of our great T20 achievements, but that is something that usually happens to good teams. “The chance to add a world-class all-rounder to an exciting bunch is terrific.”

Warwickshire will play eight group-stage matches in the Royal London Cup competition’s 2022 season, which will run from August 2 to 23.
