1. Rahul Tewatia hits two consecutive sixes in the last two balls :

The match between Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans produced the finest moment of IPL 2022 thus far. GT were struggling at 178/4 in 19.4 overs, needing 12 runs from 2 balls or only two back-to-back sixes, chasing a goal of 190 set by PBKS. Such occurrences are highly unusual, but Rahul Tewatia accomplished the unthinkable by hitting two massive sixes in two successive Odean Smith bowling deliveries to help GT win by four wickets.

  1. Pat Cummins records joint fastest fifty in IPL history:

As the Kolkata Knight Riders faced the Mumbai Indians, Australian paceman Pat Cummins lit the stage ablaze — not with his perfect bowling, but with his brilliant batting. Cummins hit four fours and six sixes on his way to the fastest fifty in IPL history (14 balls). He went up against a total of 6, 4, 6, 6, 2 (no-ball), 4, 6. Along with KL Rahul, he currently holds the record for the fastest fifty IPL wickets.

  1. Joss Buttler marks the first century of IPL 2022:

Rajasthan Royals’ Jos Buttler produced a magnificent century in only his second and ninth games of the IPL, so fans didn’t have to wait long for the first century of the season. Buttler scored 100 runs in 68 deliveries against the Mumbai Indians, including 11 fours and five sixes.
