The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have had a difficult season thus far in the 2017 Indian Premier League (IPL). Deepak Chahar was lost to the squad even before the event began, which hampered their ambitions. As we approach the halfway mark of the competition, Adam Milne became the second CSK player to suffer a similar fate, and according to sources, Moeen Ali’s participation also seems gloomy. According to an ESPNCricinfo report published Monday evening, the great all-rounder damaged his ankle during a training session on Saturday. The team has yet to get the scan findings, and they are concerned about his availability in the next matches.

Moeen Ali was not in the CSK lineup for the match against the Mumbai Indians, which was dominated by MS Dhoni. He most recently played against Gujarat Titans, a team that CSK fell to by three wickets. Due to a difficulty in obtaining a travel permission, Moeen came late for the event. He’s appeared in five matches thus far, scoring 87 runs while bowling poorly.

CSK, on the other hand, have only recorded two victories so far this season and are now ranked second-to-last in the points standings. The squad is has lost in the IPL against Mayank Agarwal’s Punjab Kings.
