The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) announced on Monday that India will play three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) against Afghanistan in March 2022. According to the Future Tour Program (FTP) for 2022-23, Afghanistan will play 11 One-Day Internationals (ODIs), four Twenty-One Internationals (T20Is), and two-Test series during the next two years. Aside from the India series, Afghanistan will face the Netherlands, Zimbabwe, Australia, and Ireland in 2022. Apart from competing in the Asia Cup 2022, ICC T20 World Cup 2022, Asia Cup 2023, and ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, Afghanistan will play 18 home and 34 away matches in these series.

“There will be 37 ODIs, 12 T20Is, and three tests among the 52 matches on Afghanistan’s schedule from 2022 to 2023. It’s worth noting that the ACB’s top management, along with the Afghanistan Cricket Board’s cricket operations team, is in regular contact with the Pakistan Cricket Board to reschedule the postponed three-match ODI series for February-March 2023 (Still to be confirmed), which was originally scheduled for September-2021 but was postponed indefinitely due to logistical issues. Furthermore, as part of the ICC Future Tours Program, the ACB is in talks with other cricket nations to arrange future bilateral matches for the national team, which will be revealed in due course.
