India advances to the final of the U19 World Cup for the fourth time in a row
Team India have again proved their worth by reaching the U-19 World Cup final for the 4th time in a row by beating Australia on Wednesday. The balance that the team struck between their batters and bowlers was something that needs to be appreciated. Yash Dhull’s captaincy and his 110 run contribution with his bat and Sheikh Rasheed’s 108 runs helped set a tough target for Australia to chase.
Even the bowlers performed their roles admirably as they bowled out the Aussies in 41.5 overs. India will face England for the final match on Saturday and will look forward to asserting their dominance and excellent form against the English players. With this victory, Yash Dhull has become the third captain to hit a century in this tournament, after Virat Kohli and the talented Unmukt Chand. It was not a smooth sail for the team, as the Indian camp was struck with COVID-19 cases and Yash Dhull saw himself out of two matches. But despite these challenges, the entire squad put their backs into the game and led the team to the knockouts.
Australia, on the other hand, displayed poor fielding performance and missed many opportunities to change the game.
