The social media account, Iceland Cricket, is best renowned for sending out funny tweets during international matches or on significant decisions made by international cricket bodies. A couple of them are amusing, but many of them are serious topics. On Sunday, Iceland Cricket tweeted about Pakistan’s greatest ODI team. Shoaib Akhtar’s exclusion and Babar Azam’s inclusion in the team infuriated supporters.

Saeed Anwar and Zaheer Abbas are the team’s opening batsmen, while Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis are the great pace pair heading the attack. Iceland Cricket chose 1992 World Cup champion Imran Khan as the team’s captain.

The following players make up the all-time Pakistani ODI squad: S Anwar, Z Abbas, I Ul Haq, J Miandad, M Yousuf, I Khan (captain), S Afridi, M Khan (wicketkeeper), W Akram, W Younas, and S Mushtaq. B Azam, M Hafeez, and Shoaib Malik are the drink guys, they tweeted.

An Indian fan asked about Mohammad Rizwan’s position on the side shortly after the tweet. He questioned, “Did you miss M Rizwan in beverages boys?”

“He is the reserve drinks guy alongside Rashid Latif,” Iceland Cricket retorted.

This is how Twitter responded:

Since the team has lost all eight of its most recent Test matches, all of which were played at home, Babar is now the subject of intense media criticism from Pakistan. The matches, which span three series against Australia, England, and New Zealand, had given Pakistan a chance to go to the World Test Championship final, but they instead placed last in the standings.

The Pakistani side is currently playing a three-match ODI series at home against New Zealand.
