‘We hope you have a good time’ – SRH responds after David Warner doubts franchise will have good time in IPL 2022 mega auction
Before the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League, a fan worried if the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) team will have a ‘decent’ auction (IPL). And, former SRH player, David Warner responded to this query from the fans. Warner expressed his worries about the ‘Orange Army’ having a successful auction. And the SRH franchise responded to Warner’s comment. SRH’s official Twitter account first praised Warner for being a part of Australia’s triumphant Ashes series victory against England.
Warner is back in form, according to the SRH Twitter account, and will be celebrating the Ashes victory right now. The official SRH Twitter account also wished Warner a successful auction when he goes up for sale.
“Congratulations on winning the Ashes, Davey – Looks like you’re back to your old self and having a good time at the after-party! On the other hand, we wish you luck at the auction,” SRH’s official Twitter account said.
David Warner was replaced as the captain of the ‘Orange Army’ in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 midway through the season, with Kane Williamson taking his place. Warner was also dropped from the SRH playing XI as a result. In the 14th edition of the IPL, the SRH side had a disastrous season and finished bottom in the points table. David Warner is one of the finest batsmen in the history of IPL cricket. The left-handed batter is the fifth-highest run-scorer in IPL history, with 5449 runs scored at a staggering average of 41.59 and a strike rate of over 140.
