PCB has instructed Haris Rauf, Fakhar Zaman and Shadab Khan to leave the BBL and begin training for the PSL, which is set to begin on January 27. The Brisbane Heat franchise is understandably disappointed and they are upset that their key player won’t be able to play for them due to PSL as COVID restrictions had already hampered his participation in the matches.

The franchise released a statement where they expressed their grief over this news. “Unfortunately, the Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed it had revoked Fakhar’s permission to play our remaining games, along with all other Pakistan players currently participating in the BBL, and summoned him to return immediately to prepare for the Pakistan Super League, Heat said in a statement on Sunday (January 16). “We’re disappointed that he won’t be able to play for us, and he’s sorry that he won’t be able to play for us again.” He asked us to thank the supporters for their support and to wish the squad luck in the final three games.

The Brisbane Heat will receive huge support as Michael Neser and Mitchell Swepson will join the squad for their match against the Stars.
