The bond between David Warner and the Sunrisers Hyderabad has been a huge talking point in cricket. Warner was sacked as captain of the team and was even dropped from the SRH starting lineup. Irfan Pathan has now shared his thoughts on the subject. Pathan has spoken out firmly in support of SRH, claiming that even when Australia banned Warner from playing, the ‘Orange Army’ stood with him and backed him. Irfan Pathan tweeted, “People who are opposing a franchise’s decision concerning a foreign player should remember that the same team supported him when his own country barred him from playing.”

In addition, the SRH team announced the three players they will keep ahead of the major auctions. Warner was also left off the list. The Australian took to Instagram to announce that his time with SRH had come to an end. The left-handed batter also expressed gratitude to all of the supporters for their support. “The chapter has come to an end!! Thank you to all of the fans for your continued support over the years; it has been greatly appreciated,” Warner wrote on Instagram.

David Warner has a remarkable record in the Indian T20 League and is undoubtedly one of the greatest willow wielders to have appeared in IPL cricket. Warner has 5449 runs at an average of over 40 in the IPL, making him the fifth most prolific run-scorer. In the IPL, he has also amassed 4 hundred and 50 fifties. Warner is also the only hitter to have won the Orange Cap three times in the IPL’s history. In 2016, Warner guided the SRH team to their first IPL title.
