Rishabh Pant, the top wicketkeeper-batsman for Team India, was involved in a terrible vehicle accident early on Friday morning. When Pant’s car collided with a divider near Mangalore, he was on his way to Roorkee, Uttarakhand, where he was raised. According to a statement issued by the BCCI, Pant sustained “two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee, as well as injuries to his right wrist, ankle, and toe, as well as abrasion injuries on his back.”

Fans and past cricket players have been wishing for Pant’s quick recovery on social media ever since word of the star wicketkeeper’s automobile accident surfaced.

Virat Kohli, a former captain of India, also tweeted his best wishes for Pant. “Recover quickly, @RishabhPant17. I’m sending you healing prayers,” Kohli wrote.

When India last competed against Bangladesh in the second Test of the series, Rishabh Pant was a member of the Indian XI. He had made a crucial 93 in the first innings of the Test to inspire India, and the team went on to win by three wickets and take the series 2-0.

After the Test, Pant left for Dubai and was seen there with the late Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He later returned to India earlier this week. Police said that Pant was traveling to his hometown of Roorkee when he fell asleep at the wheel and the car crashed into a barrier before catching fire.

The batsman was assisted out of the flaming automobile by the driver and other crew members of a Haryana Roadways bus that was driving by, according to the police, who added that the car had been entirely burnt in the collision.

“At 5.30 am on Friday, Pant’s automobile collided with a barrier in Manglaur, in the Haridwar district. He was transported urgently to the neighboring Saksham Hospital in Roorkee, from whence he was subsequently sent to the Max Hospital in Dehradun “Ajai Singh, the senior superintendent of police in Haridwar, stated.
