Team India, led by Rahul Dravid, is attempting to continue their unbroken streak against Bangladesh in the longest version of the game after losing the white-ball series of their current trip. The team led by Virat Kohli faced Bangladesh at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium without all-format skipper Rohit Sharma. The Indian team will be missing veteran bowler Mohammed Shami and all-arounder Ravindra Jadeja for the whole of the series, while captain Rohit will be absent at least for the first Test against Bangladesh.

In the first Test of the bilateral series, Kohli, a former captain of India, is leading the batting effort for the team without Rohit. In a video posted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday, head coach Dravid praised Kohli, who just snapped his ODI century drought in Bangladesh. Amid the present Test match between the two sides, Indian head coach Dravid reflected on some of his favourite playing moments in Bangladesh.

Dravid, the head coach of India, then talked extensively about Kohli, a batting legend whose record speaks for itself. “It’s amazing to witness how well-versed in game management Virat is; if he can strengthen, it would be a fantastic indication for us. As a result, he is a great fit for the job. His track record is self-evident. The amount of games he’s played is incredible “remarked Dravid.

At Chattogram, in the first innings of the series opener between India and Bangladesh, batting legend Virat Kohli got out for 1 from 5 balls. The former Indian captain will want to redeem himself in the second innings as India is the favourite to win at Chattogram by a score of 1-0. “He is working out as hard as I have ever seen him because he feels like he is back. Watching him practise over the last year, it has stood out to me as something that never changes, whether he is doing well or poorly, and that is a terrific lesson for many of the young players in the squad “David said. -*
