The Indian cricket team’s jersey for the 2021 T20 World Cup was released on Wednesday, days before the country kicks off its campaign with a much-anticipated match against arch-rivals Pakistan in Dubai. The event will take place in the United Arab Emirates and Oman from October 17 to November 14.

MPL Sports, the official kit sponsor of the Indian men’s, women’s, and Under-19 teams, introduced the new ‘Billion Cheers Jersey,’ which was inspired by fans. This is the first time in Indian cricket history that fans have been honoured on a jersey. It contains their screams and cheers from historic past matches, which have been turned into distinctive soundwave patterns,” according to an ML Sports announcement. The jersey is available in royal blue and prussian blue.

“The Indian cricket team has support not just in India but throughout the world, and there’s no better way to showcase their passion and energy than through this shirt,” BCCI president Sourav Ganguly said.

This will definitely provide the team with the much-needed enthusiastic backing they require in their quest to become world T20 champions. We’re also glad to see that MPL Sports continues to provide products that are both inexpensive and accessible.”Jay Shah, the board’s secretary, agreed.

“Every Indian cricket fan’s narrative is told behind the shirt. Wearing this will undoubtedly be a source of great pride for both the squad and the fans.”
