In his almost two-decade cricket career, Dinesh Karthik has seen it all. His remarkable enthusiasm to recover from even the most severe of situations has kept him going and relevant. When others have “given up” on him, he has always managed to find the most fitting responses. Dinesh Karthik’s never-ending magnificent journey continued with another return to the Indian team. When he entered the field for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2022, the experienced wicketkeeper-batsman established a goal of an India return. He did so even before the IPL playoffs started this year.

A very pleased and satisfied customer This is a “really spectacular” return, according to Karthik. “I am overjoyed. I am quite pleased. Because so many people had given up on me, this is my most remarkable return. So many remarkable things occurred in the build up to the rock-shell and how I practised after that for me to rebound and perform what I did, practise the way I did,” Karthik told RCB’s official website.

Karthik was named to India’s 18-man team for the five-match T20I series against South Africa, which begins on June 9. Karthik last played for India at the 2019 World Cup in England. Karthik has 287 runs in 9 innings for RCB this season, with a strike rate of 191 and an average of 57. Karthik was assigned the job of finisher, and he did not disappoint. He’s been a big part of the RCB’s postseason success this year.

Sanjay Bangar, the RCB’s head coach, and Mike Hesson, the Director of Cricket Operations, received high accolades from Karthik. He expressed his gratitude to RCB for selecting him for the mega auction earlier this year and then assigning him a clear and precise task.

“I believe the clarity that they provided me to execute the position that I wanted to perform, in many ways, I owe it to RCB for choosing me and giving me that role, believing in me, and then me going out here and doing my hardest for team RCB.” “All in all, it’s a pretty nice feeling,” he continued.
