Dhoni picks’ for the team never disappoints fans, says CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan

The Chennai Super Kings may be in the right state of mind for the forthcoming IPL super auction in 2022. CSK are expected to make some strategic purchases during this weekend’s two-day event in Bengaluru, and it would not be surprising if they landed any of the big names for the 15th edition of the competition. With 21 places open, 14 Indian and seven international players, the four-time champions still have a payout of INR 48 crore.

Meanwhile, Kasi Vishwanathan, the Chennai-based franchise’s chief executive officer, has said that when the ‘Thala’ MS Dhoni selects a team at the auctions, he never disappoints the fans, adding that this is how the 2011 World Cup-winning captain selects a squad. With such a strong declaration only a day before the auction, it’s safe to believe that the four-time champions have meticulously organized their approach and that the renowned captain will be present.

“I just have one message for our supporters: Thala (MS Dhoni) never disappoints the fans when he selects a squad in the auctions”. According to ESPNcricinfo, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan remarked on the eve of the IPL 2022 super auction, “That’s the type of squad he’ll choose.”
