Sourav Ganguly reveals Bollywood biopic to be made on his life

Sourav Ganguly has confirmed that his biopic will be shot with a big-budget Bollywood Studio. The biopic is being developed under a huge banner-production house, according to reports, with a budget of roughly Rs 200 to Rs 250 crore set aside for the project.

“Yes, I have agreed to the biopic. It will be in Hindi but it is not possible to say the name of the director now. It will take a few more days for arranging everything,” said Ganguly.

Ranbir has been named by Ganguly, but there are two more actors on the list. The biopic will follow Sourav Ganguly from his childhood till his election as president of the BCCI. The release date for the film is yet to be determined.

More information about the director, actors, and crew of Ganguly’s biopic should be available soon. Ganguly led the Indian cricket team to numerous notable victories throughout his 15-year spell as captain.

Ganguly’s biopic will be the latest in a long line of cricket biopics; MS Dhoni’s was a smash hit, and former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin had his as well. Sachin Tendulkar was also the subject of a documentary film.
