Shakib Al Hasan ruled out of the event due to a hamstring injury

Shakib Al Hasan, Bangladesh’s star all-rounder, has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup 2021 due to a hamstring injury, in one of the most surprising turns of events. Bangladesh had already had a bad run in the T20 WC 2021, and this will be a major setback for the team, which is already suffering in the mega event. After a strong showing in the Qualifiers, Bangladesh qualified for the Super 12 events.

They have, however, been suffering since they began competing against the big teams in the blockbuster tournament. They lost their last game against West Indies by three runs in what was shaping up to be a tough match. Shakib scored nine runs and did not take a wicket in his last game against the West Indies. For many years, Shakib has been a brilliant all-rounder for his side. On several occasions, his bat-and-ball prowess has salvaged the day for Bangladesh. Despite the fact that Bangladesh has lost all three games in the Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup 2021, the presence of a big player would have been a huge boost to their confidence.

Bangladesh lost their last game to the West Indies by a narrow margin, and it remains to be seen how they can fill the vacuum left by Shakib Al Hasan’s departure. However, Mahmudullah claimed that his bowlers performed admirably in the previous game.

“I think Liton’s wicket was vital since we were both set,” says the player. If it had been six, you’d have a distinct edge when you have tall fielders. Having said that, the bowlers did an excellent job, but we squandered a few opportunities that cost us 10-15 runs. We tried harder at the top, but the wicket wasn’t conducive to hitting.”
