Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are rumoured to be interested in bidding for two new IPL teams. Two notable business actors have expressed interest in buying two new teams in the Indian Premier League including India’s multinational conglomerate Adani Group and the Glazer family, owners of Premier League football club Manchester United.

According to Outlook, the Bollywood superstar pair could partner with the Glazer family to acquire an IPL team.

The Indian board later extended the deadline for interested companies to submit bid papers until October 20. According to news agency PTI, the BCCI is expecting anywhere between Rs. 7000 crore and Rs. 10,000 crore from the IPL team bidding.

The BCCI had permitted consortiums and firms with annual revenue of Rs. 3000 crore to bid for teams, with a basic price of Rs. 2000 crore for new IPL teams. The RPSG Group, which owns the now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiants, and the Kotak Group are two more significant names on the list of potential buyers for an IPL team.
