Cricket Australia to let players decide on their participation in IPL 2021

Cricket Australia has stated that they will not interfere with the participation of Australian players in the IPL 2021 and will leave it up to them. This will be a huge boost for the IPL 2021, as 20 Australian players are now under contract with the IPL, and the teams would be overjoyed to learn of their availability.

It has been announced that players from New Zealand and England would be available to assist their respective franchises. The decision comes as New Zealand prepares to visit Pakistan in September and October. Sunrisers Hyderabad, who picked Kane Williamson as their captain after a poor run in IPL 2021 Phase 1, will be pleased with the outcome.

Cricket Australia took the right decision by allowing players to choose whether or not to participate in the IPL when it restarts in 2021. Previously, there had been a slew of troubles in the IPL 2021 in April, when the Australian government-imposed travel restrictions on Indians, leaving players stranded in various nations. However, now that the competition has been relocated to the United Arab Emirates, the Australians appear to be in good shape.

Australia lost yet another T20 series in Bangladesh, and Cricket Australia made a daring choice by allowing the big guns to participate in the IPL rather than prepare for the T20 World Cup. Marcus Stoinis, Steve Smith, Jhye Richardson, and Riley Meredith are the members of the team. Kane Richardson, Glenn Maxwell, and Adam Zampa are among the major names expected to play in the IPL 2021 second phase.

The IPL 2021 will resume on September 19 in the United Arab Emirates, with the much-anticipated rivalry between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings kicking off the season. The Delhi Capitals are now at the top of the table, while Sunrisers Hyderabad is at the bottom, with 31 games remaining. Following the conclusion of the IPL, the T20 World Cup will begin in a few days.
