Haider Ali and Umaid Asif will miss Peshawar Zalmi’s forthcoming PSL final on

Thursday (June24) after admitting to breaking bio-bubble guidelines by seeing

persons outside of it and failing to maintain the required social distance.

Umaid Asif has appeared in nine games for Zalmi and has taken eight wickets.

Haider Ali has 166 runs in as many games, including a half-century.

According to a press release from the Pakistan Cricket Board, the incident

occurred on Wednesday, and the Pakistan Super League’s Covid-19

Management panel decided to dismiss them on Thursday morning.

The two cricketers were discovered not to have engaged with any other

members of the squad at any time following the incident and were placed in room

isolation, according to the PCB statement.

In addition, Haider Ali has been removed from both the England and West Indies

trips.

Apart from two Tests in Jamaica, Sohaib Maqsood has been picked as his

successor for the two tours during which the Pakistan men’s national cricket team

will play three ODIs and eight T20Is.
