BCB set to persuade Tamim Iqbal to reassess his T20I sabbatical

Tamim Iqbal will be urged by BCB to review his decision to take a break from T20I for the next 6 months. He has played phenomenally in the ongoing BPL and has become the highest run-getter in the current season. His decision will cost BCB a lot as he will skip five T20I matches and his team will miss out on his amazing skills and huge potential in this format.

Minhajul Abedin, who is the chief selector for the Bangladesh team, has voiced his opinion regarding Tamim’s decision. “It’s always a plus to have veteran players on the squad since inexperienced players may learn a lot from them. It is Tamim’s personal decision, which he made after much thought, and we must accept his decision. At the same time, we’re pleading with him to reconsider his choice, and we’re working hard to get him back in T20Is as soon as possible. Of course, I wanted Tamim to be a part of the team. You always want the team’s best performance. Here, bio bubble fatigue is a problem.
