Following a knee injury sustained during the Asia Cup 2022, Ravindra Jadeja is no longer playing cricket. As part of a team adventure exercise, he was trying to balance himself on a skiboard when he got into an odd accident. In the run-up to the T20 World Cup and other significant tournaments, Jadeja was one of India’s key hopes in the lower-middle order, therefore the sad tragedy sparked questions about his replacement in the playing XI. All-rounder Axar Patel was brought in to replace him despite originally seeming irreplaceable, and Axar has excelled and solidified his position in the squad. In the just-finished T20I series against Sri Lanka, Axar was named Player of the Series. Washington Sundar, another all-around player, did well in the little opportunities he had while Jadeja was out.

Currently, according to cricket analysts, Jadeja’s return to playing XI would be exceedingly challenging. These claims are gaining traction on social media. In the middle of all of this, Jadeja tweeted on Thursday with the cryptic message, “Don’t say anything. Simply smile. The all-tweet rounders went viral as it was quickly noticed by cricket fans.

Many Twitter users and cricket fans made fun of Jadeja by mentioning Axar and Washington, who had stepped up for the squad in his absence.

Axar is smiling in this remark from a user who sarcastically commented, “Smiling.”

“I believe that Jadeja needs to return to first-class cricket if he wants to make a comeback, which I doubt because he has enough money and doesn’t care about the country. I believe that Axar deserves to remain in all forms. For the IPL, he will return, another fan tweeted.

Another person commented, “You lost your position in the Indian CRICKET squad buddy come back stronger stop being a Political meme.”

“Yeah… grinning at you. Another supporter posted, “Axar Bapu aur Washington Sundar Anna kha gaye aapke location.”

Retire.. ho gaya bas tumhara (Your retirement is impending now),” said another user in a harsh assault on Jadeja. Jadeja would be expecting to be included in the team for the four-match Test series against Australia in India in February-March. It is still unclear if the BCCI would start Jadeja or Axar with star spinner Ravichandran Ashwin in the crucial series that will also determine India’s entry into the 2021–2023 World Test Championship final.
