On Sunday, the IPL 2022 auction concluded, with all teams securing their complete squads. When discussing the Lucknow Super Giants’ performance in the mega-auction, Aakash Chopra said that the newcomers used their money well and made some wise choices. After spending every penny they had, LSG ended up with a roster of 21 players. In a video on his YouTube channel, Chopra awarded the series a 9/10 rating while assessing the auction.

“The Lucknow Super Giants have the second-highest total. They get a 9 out of 10 from me. First, they squandered all of their money; not a single rupee remained. They’re incredible; how can someone do that with such accuracy? They purchased 21 players, including a few standouts. Rahul, Stoinis, and Bishnoi were there. You believe you can acquire Jason Holder if you have Stoinis. In general, clubs believe that if they can obtain Stoinis, Mitchell Marsh, or Jason Holder, they will be successful. You don’t get all three together; they already have two,” Chopra noted and as reported by the Hindustan Times.

“Quinton de Kock is a 29-year-old South African cricketer who only plays white-ball cricket. You paid 6.75 crores for him; he’ll open and hit, and he’s left-handed. This is a fantastic purchase. When you see Manish Pandey and Deepak Hooda, you immediately think of Rahul Tewatia, Nitish Rana, and Rahul Tripathi, all of whom were pricey; Manish Pandey and Deepak Hooda seem to be a bargain. Then Marcus Stoinis, Krunal Pandya, and Jason Holder come in. Krishnappa Gowtham is also present. No other squad has as many all-rounders as this one. If you wish to construct a list of multi-faceted cricketers, go to this team.”
